WHAT TECHNIQUES DO YOU USE TO PRINT ART?

At our art store, we use a variety of printing techniques to create high-quality prints of our original artworks. Here are some of the techniques we use:

  • Giclee printing: Giclee is a fine art printing process that uses high-quality archival inks and papers to produce a print that is both vivid in color and long-lasting. The process involves spraying microscopic droplets of ink onto the paper or canvas to create a high-resolution image. This is the most popular method we use to print our art.

  • Screen printing: Screen printing is a traditional printing method that uses a mesh screen to transfer ink onto a surface. The process involves creating a stencil on the screen and then pressing the ink through the stencil onto the paper or canvas. This method is ideal for creating bold, solid colors and is often used for printing posters and other promotional materials.

  • Lithography: Lithography is a printing technique that uses a flat stone or metal plate to transfer an image onto paper or canvas. The process involves applying ink to the plate, which is then transferred onto the paper or canvas using a roller. This method is ideal for printing high-quality reproductions of fine art.

  • Digital printing: Digital printing uses computer technology to create high-quality prints of an image. The process involves sending the image to a printer, which then applies ink to the paper or canvas to create the final print. This method is often used for printing photographs and other digital artwork.

Each printing technique has its own advantages and disadvantages, and we choose the best method for each artwork based on factors such as the desired finish, the size of the print, and the intended use. We take great care to ensure that each print is of the highest quality and that the colors and details are true to the original artwork.
